Does it really matter?

Does physical beauty in a person really matter? In my opinion there is no right answer to this
question. "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"- by Margaret Wolfe Hungerford is a good saying to think about when it comes to beauty. First off lets think of were the importance of beauty comes from. As a kid we normally don't care about beauty. Mommy is pretty and that's that. We become "best friends" with kids at the park because we both love chocolate ice cream. It doesn't matter that I'm short and chubby and that you are Blond and gorgeous but you kinda have a big nose. This stage in our lives passes very quickly though, we learn about the importance of beauty at a very young age. It can be introduced to us by a family member or plain old t.v (media). The importance makes us develop insecurities that will grow within us through life. It really sucks doesn't it? especially as a teenager. You can never be perfect, not to your own standers or theirs . My main point to this post is I don't believe that physical beauty should be really important. Do you know why? because it fades. We are normally beautiful from the ages 1-to probably late 30's and for men I have no idea to be honest:P The importance of beauty is just damaging men and women of all ages and we don't need it. If you're beautiful by all standers good for you but one day it will fade so i hope you are more then beautiful because if not you're

Derek Zoolander, and yes he is a fictional character but he is right. You don't need to be a
qualified model to be happy. Haven't you heard of the gorgeous/confident women who's with the nothing man? and vice versa for the guys. You might think yeah but that will never happen for me...Ha that's what I am :D I might be kinda short, a bit over weight with really short hair but I
have more confidence than a lot of people and I have an crazy/amazing/geeky/gorgeous
boyfriend. Basically that category covers the whole worlds population at some point.
So my advice to end all my rambling is: Confidence and Personality is Sexy!!! These qualities you will never lose. Be happy and a good person then nothing can touch you. The smile on your face
(even if its crooked) will show the world you don't care what they think, you are you and your
happy that's it. So my conclusions is...Inner beauty kicks ass:)
